This audio walk is an independent product, written and produced by Andrew Sorokin, a licensed Sydney tour guide working in this city since 2006. It is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way connected to Destination NSW, the New South Wales Government, the Vivid Sydney® festival, or any of its sponsors. "Vivid Sydney" is a registered trademark of Destination NSW. Names of festival installations, artworks and artists are referenced descriptively, under nominative fair use, purely to help walkers identify what they are seeing. All audio commentary is original creative work focusing on the history, architecture and Aboriginal heritage of the streets, buildings and harbour the lights are projected onto. Programming, times and locations can change — for official festival information, ticketing and updates please refer to the festival's own website at vividsydney.com.
1. About this guide
- The Sydney Light Walk 2026 audio companion is provided free of charge as a self-guided walking and cycling experience.
- It is delivered as a web-based browser tour. No installation, signup or payment is required.
- The route covers approximately 6.5 km between the Sydney Opera House and Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour, with 33 individual GPS-triggered audio stops.
- Content is original creative work by Andrew Sorokin (Antratel Pty Ltd, ABN 24122328492).
2. Use at your own risk
- You walk or cycle this route at your own risk. Be aware of your surroundings, traffic, pedestrians, and uneven surfaces — especially after dark.
- Keep your audio volume low enough to hear approaching traffic, cyclists and emergency vehicles.
- Cyclists: obey local cycling regulations, dismount in dense crowds at Circular Quay and Cockle Bay where required, and follow the City of Sydney's shared-path rules.
- The festival takes place after dark. Sydney CBD is a generally well-lit and busy environment during festival nights but standard personal-safety precautions apply.
- Andrew Sorokin and Antratel Pty Ltd accept no liability for personal injury, property loss or any other harm arising from your use of this audio walk.
3. Programming subject to change
- Festival installations, opening hours, drone show times, and locations are set and operated by Destination NSW and may change without notice.
- If an installation is unavailable, has been moved, or is sold out, this audio walk has no influence over that.

- You may listen to the audio for personal use during your visit. Re-recording, redistribution, reuploading to other platforms, or commercial reuse is not permitted without written permission.
- Installation names, artist names and venue names mentioned in the commentary are facts and are referenced under nominative fair use, with no claim of affiliation or endorsement.
5. Technical requirements and limitations
- This is a browser-based web tour, not a native mobile application. It requires GPS and an internet connection on your phone.
- Audio streams from our server as you arrive at each installation; momentary buffering may occur depending on your mobile signal.
- We recommend keeping your phone screen unlocked and the browser tab in the foreground for the duration of the walk. Closing or reloading the tab restarts the tour from the beginning.
- Wired or Bluetooth earphones are strongly recommended.
6. Privacy
- We do not require an email address, name, phone number or any account creation to use this audio walk.
- Standard web-server access logs (browser type, IP address, request times) may be retained by our hosting provider in accordance with usual web operations.
- We do not sell or share any data with third parties for marketing purposes.
