Sydney's Self-Guiding GPS Audio Tour

⚠ Before You Start — Important Tips
This is a browser-based web tour, not a native app. For a smooth ride please note:

• Keep the screen awake. When the screen locks, iOS/Android pause GPS and audio for web pages. Before you start:
  • iPhone: Settings → Display & Brightness → Auto-Lock → Never.
  • Android: Settings → Display → Screen timeout (may also be labelled Sleep or Screen off on Samsung/Xiaomi/Huawei) → pick the longest option, usually 30 minutes. Android has no “Never” — plugging into a car charger keeps the screen awake on most phones.
• Plug into a car charger. GPS + audio drains the battery fast. A USB-C or Lightning car charger keeps you going all day.
• Keep the tab in the foreground. Don’t switch apps mid-tour — reloading restarts from the beginning.
• Mobile data is required. In tunnels (Sydney Harbour Tunnel, Cross City Tunnel, underground car parks) audio and maps will pause until signal returns — this is normal for any web-based tour.
• Use Bluetooth or a car AUX cable to share the commentary with all passengers.

How to use this tour:
1. Press Start Audio Tour — GPS activates, GUIDE turns on automatically, and the Attractions Groups picker opens. That’s already your first button.
2. Tick the groups that match your interests — Historical, Nature & Beach, Shopping, Wildlife, Photo. Unticked groups are hidden from the list and the map, and the remaining attractions are auto-renumbered into your personal 1…N route. Press Done (second button) — you’re touring. You can reopen the picker any time via the ☰ button.
3. With GUIDE ON audio plays automatically as you approach each stop (within ~50 m). Visited cards move to the bottom when audio finishes or when the next attraction starts.
4. Optional third button — turn on FILL (requires GUIDE ON) for non-stop entertainment: plays the Welcome to Sydney introduction during idle time between attractions.
5. With GUIDE OFF you can tap ▶ Listen on any card to play manually. The card moves to the bottom only if the full audio finishes while you are near the attraction.
6. Tap a pin on the map to jump that attraction to the top of the list. Drag cards to reorder manually. Tap Navigate to open Google Maps directions.
7. Use SORT BY DISTANCE / NUMBER to switch sorting. Toggle ☽ for day/night theme.

Works in a car, on a bicycle, or from a hop-on bus seat — GPS adapts to your speed.

⚠ Do not close or reload this page while touring — reloading resets all progress and settings.
